Jeanine Bowers, Boot Camp Coach
Jeanine Bowers developed an interest in fitness and nutrition after realizing that an unhealthy lifestyle lead to unwanted weight. After finding fitness and turning to a healthy lifestyle, Jeanine lost more than 30 pounds and knew that she wanted to share that with others. She moved to Keller, TX in August of 2008 and decided to give her workouts a boost and joined DFW Adventure Boot Camp in September of 2008. She soon realized its uniqueness and the positive impact that DFW Adventure Boot Camp had not only on herself but on other women. Jeanine received her Personal Trainer Certification in December of 2008 from the Cooper Institute in Dallas, TX and is a NESTA Certified Boot Camp Trainer.
She gets her greatest satisfaction from giving personal attention to her students and being part of their physical and mental growth. She believes that overall physical and mental wellness will lead to a long, healthy positive life. All it takes is a little direction and the right motivation!
Katie Viator, Boot Camp Coach
Katie Viator Started with DFW Adventure Boot Camp as a camper in May of 2007. She received her Personal Trainer Certification in May of 2008 from the The Cooper Institute in Dallas, TX and is a NESTA Certified Boot Camp Trainer. Katie is very passionate about helping women and believes that regular exercise is a part of life. She loves DFW Adventure Boot Camp and feels strongly that it is unique and different from other programs in so many ways. Through boot camp she has learned to eat better and make better choices at the grocery store as well. She loves sharing the knowledge that she has gained to help other women get in shape and take care of their bodies. Katie has seen first hand the amazing impact boot camp can have on you and how it can affect the other people in your life. She believes it has made her a better and much more positive person. Working out and getting healthy is not short term, it's for life!
Growing up in Duncanville, she competed in club and school volleyball throughout high school and college. She has been a club volleyball coach over the last 10 years. She is a graduate of the University of Texas at Arlington with a Bachelors Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies.
Suzette McAfee, Boot Camp Coach
Suzette McAfee discovered DFW Adventure Boot Camp as a camper. She was so motivated and inspired by her experience, that she decided to take the next step and become a Certified Fitness Trainer, through The Cooper Institute in Dallas
Teaching Boot Camp gives Suzette the opportunity to share her love of fitness and the benefits that come with being fit. She sincerely enjoys helping women get in shape and staying there!
Leading an active lifestyle is key for Suzette, who enjoys staying fit through Boot Camp, tennis, swimming and running. In order to stay on top of new inventive ways to make each day fun, challenging, and unique she continues to educate herself through continuing education and a variety of different seminars, classes and activities.
Personal fitness and helping others get in the best shape of their lives so they can live longer, healtheir lives has become her passion, She understands the hustle and bustle of our busy lifestyles which pose quite a challenge to being fit and is committed to help maintain a healthy, efficient environment for her campers.
Dr. John Spencer Ellis - Support Staff
Each week, over one million people around the world enjoy a fitness program created by John Spencer Ellis. His fitness programs are implemented in the top resorts, spas and health clubs. John is the President of NESTA (National Exercise & Sports Trainers Association) and the Spencer Institute for Life Coaching. These two professional associations have 45,000 members in 30 countries. John is on the Advisory Boards of the National Health, Wellness and Prevention Congress, Exercise TV, Conference for Healthy Living, Irvine Valley College, Get America Fit Foundation, and is a Fellow of the National Board of Fitness Examiners. He is the author of "How Badly Do You Want It? - Your Ultimate Guide to Optimal Fitness," and a contributor to "Power of Champions." He created Adventure Boot Camp, the largest fitness boot camp program in the world. His signature series of outdoor fitness equipment is used in communities worldwide. John has been featured or quoted in every major fitness publication, and held the post of Fitness Editor for OC Flair magazine. John has been featured on NBC, CBS, PBS, SPIKE, ESPN & Bravo. He serves as an on-air expert for Life & Leisure Television and Health Journal Television with General Norman Schwarzkopf. He is the producer and host of The OC Body on The Healthy Living Channel. John is a Nautilus sponsored athlete and stars in the workout DVDs Playground Boot Camp™ & Kung-Fu Fitness™. John created the fitness program used by the U.S. Secret Service and he consults the UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championships).
John has been continuing his professional education since 1987, and holds bachelors degrees in business and health science, an MBA, and a doctorate in education. He is currently completing a second doctorate in naturopathy. He has fifteen certifications including massage therapy, plyometrics, self-defense, fitness kick boxing, fitness boxing, water fitness, exercise rehabilitation, golf conditioning, Pilates, personal training, clinical hypnotherapy, sports hypnosis, PACE circuit training and yoga. He holds a 2nd degree black belt in kung-fu, has completed the Ironman triathlon, and finished 5th at the U.S. National Biathlon Championships. His medical training includes a license in radiological technology, a medical assisting certification, and training in McKenzie rehabilitation. John was nominated for the California Community College Distinguished Alumni Award.
