WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYINGNew Year’s 2008 I saw an ad for DFW Adventure Boot camp and was hesitant to call due to the recent rotator cuff surgery in December, but I did and it changed my life! My first boot camp was February of 2008 and Anna worked with my shoulder limitation; I saw results and I was addicted! Where can you have a personal trainer at the fraction of the cost and no gym?! I love Anna’s enthusiasm and desire for each one of us to lead a healthy-living lifestyle. I am 36 years old and in the BEST shape of my life and have made amazing friends of all ages through boot camp. I have worked with all of the trainers at DFW Adventure Boot camp and they all demonstrate Anna’s knowledge and love for exercise. Thank you for changing my life! Attending DFW Adventure Boot Camp has not only helped me lose weight, which was my initial goal, but, I have gained so much more. I have increased my level of strengh, I have better balance, flexibility, and increased endurance. The group atmosphere is so much fun, supportive and inspiring. More so, I think, than training one-on-one with a personal trainer. Part of my testimony is the fact that I've always exercised, but never ran. Because of Anna's encouragement and the other women, I am a runner (sometimes a walker). I have enjoyed the challenge so much that I have actually participated in three 5 K's. In addition to all that I have toned and lost inches where others notice!Anna is both professional and personable. She has the ability to provide individual attention and still motivate and encourage an entire group of women. We leave each morning knowing how much she believes in us and cares about us! Her knowledge and skills in exercise training and information on nutrition provides for a high quality, never boring, fast and fun, packed morning!! Thank you Anna. I started attending DFW Adventure Boot Camp a year ago. It had been 30 years since I had done any kind of organized exercise. I have so much more energy now and feel stronger than ever! One of the best things about working out with Anna, and Katie is that they always remind camp participants to listen to their own bodies. Boot camp is never about competition, it is about doing something positive for myself. While losing weight and gaining muscle mass, I have made new friends and found that working out under the stars is a fantastic way to start the day! For years I was a runner and lifted weights. I was very health conscious. I am not sure what happened. I think life just got busy and I started shoving aside my own needs and not taking care of myself. Before I knew it I was up about 25 pounds. I was miserable and could not stand the way I felt or looked. My friend Susie called and said, "Would you like to do a boot camp with me?” Of course I said yes. We started looking online for a boot camp near us and God brought us to DFW Adventure Boot Camp. I will tell you when Susie said let’s do 5:30 am; I thought I would never like getting up that early and I was very hesitant. There is nothing like being outside with the bright moon and stars overhead while you are working out and when you are done the sun begins to peek up... What a great way to start the day. I have more energy and feel better about myself than I have in years. I really think about what I am eating and how it might affect my body. I love feeling stronger and I have noticed that my knees and low back do not hurt like they used to because I am stronger. My jeans are baggy and soon I will be able to wear the jeans in my closet that I have not been able to get on in a couple of years. Praise God for people like Anna and Katie! Jeanine is an angel and so wonderful and passionate!!! I already feel like I have friends there…and what a convenient location after work! I have never liked to exercise so I was leery about committing to a boot camp for a whole month for 3 days a week! BUT, I love it so much if I had more time I would go 5 days a week. Jeanine is such a motivation for me and really encourages me even when I feel like giving up (and my stomach is thanking you). After only a few weeks I can already feel my muscles getting stronger and my endurance increasing. I never thought I would say that I like to exercise, but I am hooked! Thank you Anna for DFW Adventure Boot Camp!! Boot camp is the best thing I've done for myself! Besides having more confidence and endurance, sleeping better, and being toned, I've made some friends along the way. Anna, Jeanine, and Katie are all awesome trainers and women. They truly care about you and push you to do your best. I'm not going to lie and say that there haven't been times that I didn't want to go to camp. I may have thought it was too hot outside, too cold outside, or I was tired and didn't want to go to camp that night. But, I can honestly say after camp I feel so much better and I am so glad I came. I am happy that I did something healthy for myself that evening. Thank you Anna, Jeanine, and Katie for all that you do! I just want to tell you how much I have enjoyed the "torture". At first I was apprehensive because I know you know that most places rely on embarrassing you and forcing you to perform by pitting you against your classmates.... well what a pleasant surprise and most rewarding experience!... What a relief to know it didn't matter I was the last one to finish,and that all would come back and help me finish... it’s all about all of us and all about me and how I feel, but also how others feel because of how we are treated. I was looking for a workout and not sure what I needed. I had completed the P90X workout several months earlier and had done weight training before that and felt fairly strong. I knew though that my cardio was very weak. I felt led to this program and could not be more pleased. Anna’s program is amazing in that it encompasses every aspect of your physical requirements. Not only have I gotten stronger but my cardio has improved substantially. I am so excited. The workouts are always different and always fun. You are pushed to do your best but are always encouraged. I would recommend this program to anyway wanting to change their life for the better - young or old. Anna, Katie and Suzette are amazing women and trainers. I have been a DFW Adventure Boot Camp member since February 2009. I love the commitment Anna and Katie make to our well being. Also, Anna's open door policy that allows us to change our camp commitment when it is necessary for our busy schedules; you would be hard pressed to find the willingness of other gyms or trainers to allow you to flex your schedule. Anna - thanks for the inspiration and the motivation! You are it! Anna, you are an inspiration who sincerely cares about women and their health, soul, and emotions. I really appreciate how you encourage and believe in me. Anna, your positive attitude has helped me get motivated and stay positive. You are truly an inspiration to me. I can't believe how much stronger I feel when I jog, and I definitely can tell that my arms show some definition. But, most of all I am so grateful that God has put you in my path to help me along my way to a healthier and happier life. I was very skeptical and felt intimidated. I thought there is no way I can get up that early, let alone exercise. Anna continued to encourage me to " just try it". After getting up,and making it through the 5:30 a.m. class, I had such a feeling of accomplishment and felt more excited to face the day. I have now participated in three camps and it is the only thing that I have committed to and stuck with. It definitely helped to have Anna encouraging me and believing in me, until I could believe in myself. Each class the exercises were different and while not always fun, it kept it interesting! The first week when we did our timed 1 mile walk/ run, I could barely finish it-by the end of four weeks, I ran the entire mile!! I felt so much better and had more energy, I knew it was making a positive difference in my life. Anna, you are a total Godsend. I just read your uplifting email after having the most horrible day! I am already feeling better, I will see you at camp in the morning. Thank you for being you-you don't know what that means to the rest of us. Anna, I want you to know how grateful I am for you and this camp! I beat my mile by almost 2 minutes and today I did 25 military style push-ups. I truly feel that God gave this camp to me as a gift. I hope you know how much I appreciate you! Your coming into my life was a Godsend, for sure, this I know, absolutely. I'm a lifelong camper & forever friend. Thank you Anna & Katie!! I ADORE you both!!! Anna, I had an absolute ball at camp!!! You are a fabulous coach and motivator!! Thank you! Dear Anna, thank you so much for inspiring me! I had been praying for God to help me with my weight and overall health. Well, you are an answer to prayer. I have more energy and feel better than I have felt in years!
